This commentary, edited by Malik Ghulam Farid Sahib, is an abridged version of the Five Volume English Commentary of The Holy Quran which was based on the Urdu commentary, notes, lectures, discourses, speeches, books etc, of The second Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad (ra).

"Introduction to the Study of the Holy Qur’an" by the late Hadrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad (ra), forms an integral part of this Abridged Edition, but in view of its volume and importance it has been printed as a separate book.
