Promised Messiah said that he felt the need to write poetry because though some people are not influenced by prose, they are excited by poetry. One can write many pages of prose and yet they won't budge. On the other hand if they like one verse to their liking , they will suddenly understand truth. Its like a doctor who tries different methods for different patients for the same ailment. Same goes for his poetry. He also said that the one of the reason that Quran has such fluent and rhyming verses, is to influence such people whose nature accepts peotry more easily than prose. It has often been found that many people readily accepted the truth once they read it in verse. [Al-hakam Qadian, 28 August-7 September, 1938 Page 2]
